By creating an account and using CHEKKD ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Use of Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You must not:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
Provide false or misleading information during verification
Share your account credentials with others
Use automated systems to access the Service

3. Identity Verification

By using our Service, you consent to identity verification through Plaid Identity, including government ID verification, bank account verification, and employment verification. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during verification. False information may result in account termination and could constitute fraud.

4. TrustBadge & Reliability Score

Your reliability score and TrustBadge are calculated based on verified identity data, account hygiene, transaction history, and trusted connections. We reserve the right to update scoring algorithms to improve accuracy and security.

The score is provided for informational purposes and should not be considered a guarantee of trustworthiness. Third parties using our service make their own decisions based on multiple factors including but not limited to your CHEKKD score.

5. Data Usage

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By accepting these terms, you consent to such collection and processing.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

Violate these Terms & Conditions
Engage in fraudulent activity
Provide false verification information
Abuse or exploit the Service
Violate applicable laws or regulations

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your reliability score and TrustBadge will no longer be accessible to third parties.

7. Marketplace Integration

CHEKKD enables identity verification for peer-to-peer transactions across marketplaces, dating apps, hiring platforms, and other services. When you share your TrustBadge with third parties, you authorize CHEKKD to share your verification status and reliability score with those parties. We do not share raw personal data (ID photos, bank details, etc.) without your explicit consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to:

Loss of data or access to your account
Decisions made by third parties based on your score or TrustBadge
Errors or inaccuracies in score calculation
Service interruptions or downtime
Security breaches despite our best efforts
Outcomes of peer-to-peer transactions

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property related to the Service, including the CHEKKD name, TrustBadge design, and platform technology, are owned by CHEKKD or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
